Randy A. Foutch

Randy A. Foutch, is an experienced oil and gas executive with prior successes in forming his own privately held companies. He is currently Chairman & CEO of Laredo Petroleum, Inc.
Prior to the formation of Laredo, Mr. Foutch founded Latigo Petroleum, Inc. and served as its President & CEO until Latigo was sold to Pogo Producing Co. in May 2006 for $750 million dollars in a corporate transaction. Latigo was honored as co-winner of the Oklahoma Venture of the Year Award.
Previous to Latigo, Mr. Foutch founded Lariat Petroleum, Inc. in 1996 and served as President until January 2001 when it was sold to Newfield Exploration, Inc.
He is currently serving on the board of directors of Bill Barrett Corporation, Helmerich & Payne, The Catholic Foundation of Eastern Oklahoma, Indian Nations Council/Boy Scouts of America, and the board of trustees of the University of Tulsa. He is also a board member and President of the Thomas Gilcrease Museum Association, a member of the C.M. Russell National Advisory Board, member of the National Petroleum Council and board member emeritus of Leadership Oklahoma. Previously, he has served as the Chairman of the Board of the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board, board member of The Philip Neri Newman Center, Broad Oak Energy, MacroSolve, Inc., Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, Gryphon Exploration Company, Chairman of the OERB Scholastic Outreach Committee, and Chairman of the International Society of Energy Advocates.
Among many other awards and honors, Foutch was inducted into the 2008 Tulsa Historical Society Hall of Fame, and received the American Association of Petroleum Geologists' Public Service Award at its 1999 convention. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Texas and a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston.

Jerry R. Schuyler

Jerry Schuyler joined Laredo Petroleum in June 2007. Prior to Laredo, he was the Senior Vice President and Regional Manager of the Permian, Gulf Coast and Offshore Regions for St. Mary Land & Exploration. From 2000 to 2002, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager for Dominion Exploration & Production, focusing on the Eastern Onshore Division. Prior to Dominion, he worked 22 years with Atlantic Richfield Company holding key positions such as Prudhoe Bay Field Manager, Manager of Worldwide Exploration and Production Planning, and President of ARCO Middle East and Central Asia. Schuyler is a graduate of Montana Tech University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering. He received the recognition of “Distinguished Alumni Award” and has served as Chairman of the Montana Tech University Industrial Advisory Board and is currently a board member of the Montana Tech Foundation.

W. Mark Womble
Sr. Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mark Womble began his oil and gas career with Mesa Petroleum Co. in Amarillo, Texas in 1978 as a financial analyst. He spent a total of 10 years with Mesa and was promoted to several positions before leaving the company in 1992 as Vice President and Treasurer.
Womble joined Hugoton Energy Corporation in 1993 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and helped take the company public in 1994. Womble was promoted to Executive Vice President and elected to the Board of Directors during 1995. The company’s assets increased almost three-fold by the time it was sold in 1998 for $380 million. After serving a short transition time with the purchaser, Womble engaged in various consulting and short-term assignments in the energy and agriculture industries from 1998 to 2002.
Womble helped Latigo Petroleum get started in 2002 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and served in that capacity until the company was sold in 2006 for $750 million. He then retired to the Hill Country in South Texas and was an active chicken rancher until joining Laredo Petroleum in July 2007.
Womble was raised on a farm in the Texas panhandle. He has been married to his wife, Shirley, for 37 years. They have four sons, two of whom graduated from the United States Naval Academy and are currently serving in the U.S. military. Womble earned a BBA degree and an MBA degree in finance and accounting from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas.

Patrick J. Curth
Sr. Vice President - Exploration and Land

Patrick Curth has been involved in exploration and development projects in the Mid-Continent area for over three decades. Mr. Curth started his career in the Oklahoma City office of CONOCO, Inc. in 1975. He remained with CONOCO until 1979 when he accepted a position with Reading & Bates in Tulsa working the Anadarko Basin of Oklahoma. He was instrumental in getting several key exploratory Red Fork wells drilled in Western Oklahoma including the Red Moon well in Roger Mills County. Subsequently, Pat worked for several small independents in Tulsa and also as a geological consultant, all the time concentrating his exploratory efforts in the Mid-Continent area.
Curth joined Lariat Petroleum upon startup in 1997 as their VP – Exploration. He remained with the organization through the successful merger with Newfield Exploration in January 2001. He left Newfield in late 2002 and joined Latigo Petroleum as its Exploration Manager and was serving as VP – Exploration when the company sold to Pogo Producing Company in May 2006. In October 2006, Curth was a founding officer of Laredo Petroleum, Inc., where today he continues his employment with the Company as the Sr. VP – Exploration & Land.
Originally from Cold Spring Harbor, New York, Curth holds a BA in Geology from Windham College, a Masters Degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and a second Masters Degree in Environmental Sciences from Oklahoma State University.

W. Bland Williamson
Sr. Vice President & General Counsel

Bland Williamson joined Laredo Petroleum, Inc. as Sr. Vice President and General Counsel in July of 2008. Prior to joining Laredo, he had been in the private practice of law for over 40 years and was a founding member of the firm Pray, Walker, Jackman, Williamson & Marlar. His practice, during which he represented Mr. Foutch’s earlier companies, Lariat Petroleum and Latigo Petroleum, was focused on oil and gas law, with emphasis on the acquisition and disposition of oil and gas properties and mid-stream facilities.
Williamson has been involved in multiple civic and energy industry organizations. He currently serves on the board of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, the Indian Nation Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum, the Philbrook Museum of Art, and as a trustee of the Grace and Franklin Bernsen Foundation. He has previously served as a Regional Vice President of the International Petroleum Association of America, as Chairman of the International Society of Energy Advocates and as a member of the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board. In 1987, he was honored as the OIPA’s “Member of the Year” and from 1988 through 1991, served as Chairman of LASMO PLC’s U.S. companies.
Williamson is a past Chairman of the Mineral Law Section of both the Tulsa County and Oklahoma Bar Associations, and a former Vice-Chairman of the Natural Gas Marketing and Transportation Committee of the American Bar Association's Natural Resources Section. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business from Stetson University and his Juris Doctorate from Emory University.

Oran Hall
Vice President, Planning and Business Development

Oran Hall joined Exxon Company, USA, (then Humble Oil and Refining Company) in 1965 after graduating from Oklahoma State University. He remained with Exxon in various positions until 1974, when he joined Texas Pacific Oil Company. Oran advanced in various management positions with TPOC until the company was sold to Sun Oil Company in 1981. After staying through the transition period following the sale, he joined Hrubetz Oil Company, a start-up company located in Dallas, Texas, as Production Manager. Oran left Hrubetz in 1986 to start a consulting firm which he operated until 1990 when he joined William H. Davis in Tulsa as Operations Manager, where he remained until 1997, when he joined Lariat Petroleum Company in Tulsa. Oran was Vice President of Operations and Engineering when the company sold to Newfield Exploration in 2001. He remained with Newfield Exploration until 2002 when he left to assist in the formation of Latigo Petroleum, Inc. Oran joined the staff of Latigo Petroleum, Inc. in December of 2002 as their Manager of Operations. He was Vice President of Operations when the company was sold to Pogo Producing Company in May of 2006. Oran was one of the founders of Laredo Petroleum, Inc. in late 2006 and is currently serving as Vice President of Planning and Business Development.
Oran’s extensive career has been equally split between reservoir and operations engineering. His management career began in 1975 and he has held numerous management positions since that time. He has performed work in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Offshore Gulf of Mexico, East, Central and West Texas, Wyoming, Alberta Province in Canada and Bulgaria.
Oran graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1965 with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Petroleum Option. He has done post graduate studies in Business Administration, Accounting, Geology and Petroleum Engineering.
Oran’s industry memberships include: the Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Association of Drilling Engineers, Oklahoma Independent Producers Association, Texas Independent Producers & Royalty Organization, and Panhandle Producers & Royalty Association. Oran is a Registered Engineer in Oklahoma and Texas.

Tony Swindell
Vice President, Operations

Tony Swindell began his career in Tulsa in 1987. He spent 6 years with Samson Resources Company as a District Operations Engineer in various regions of Anadarko Basin & South Texas. Swindell was the Operations Engineer for both Barrett Resources and Lariat Petroleum, then continued his career as Operations Manager for Newfield Exploration Mid-Continent. He was also the Operations Manager at Latigo Petroleum, Inc. prior to joining Laredo Petroleum, Inc. in May of 2007.
Swindell has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and American Association of Drilling Engineers.

Dan Schooley
Vice President, Marketing and I.T.

Schooley began his oil and gas career in 1982 at the Resource Analysis and Management Group as a Managing Consultant. Schooley joined Oxley Petroleum in 1983 and spent a total of 15 years with Oxley, serving as Senior Vice President with responsibility for all oil and gas marketing activity, risk management, as well as the management of the land, revenue, production and division order departments. While at Oxley, Schooley co-founded Stalwart Energy Company, a natural gas gathering and marketing affiliate, which was later merged into Lumen Energy Corporation where Schooley served as President and COO. Schooley joined Latigo Petroleum in October 2003 as Marketing Manager, where he was responsible for all natural gas marketing and risk management activities of the company as well as all of the company’s natural gas gathering activities.
Schooley joined Laredo Petroleum, Inc. in June of 2007 and is responsible for all of the natural gas and crude oil marketing and risk management activities of Laredo. He is also responsible for overseeing all I.T. functions of the Company. Schooley is a member of the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association (OIPA) and is past Chairman and current member of the OIPA Natural Gas Committee and a member of the OIPA Wildcatters Club. Schooley is also past President of the Natural Gas Association of Oklahoma and is a current member of the Texas Alliance and the Panhandle Producers and Royalty Owners Associations. Schooley holds Bachelors and Masters degrees from Oklahoma State University.

John E. Minton
Vice President, Reservoir Engineering

Minton started his early career as an Engineer working for Union Oil Company of California, Arco Oil & Gas Company and Keplinger & Associates, Inc. From 1986 to 1999, he worked for Apache Corporation and had various responsibilities including the position of Exploration and Reservoir Engineering Manager. Minton then joined the Lariat Petroleum team in 2000 as a Senior Reservoir Engineer. Lariat subsequently sold to Newfield Exploration Company and Minton stayed at Newfield Exploration until early 2003 as a Senior Reservoir Engineer. He then joined Latigo Petroleum, Inc. as a Senior Reservoir Engineer and became Manager of Corporate Reservoir Engineering for Latigo Petroleum until the company was sold to Pogo Producing Company in early 2006. Minton shortly served as Vice President of Reservoir Engineering at Rockford II Energy Partners before coming to Laredo Petroleum, Inc. in late 2007 and is currently working as Vice President, Resevoir Engineering for the Company.
Minton served as an Officer in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1975. Minton is a lifetime member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and has been a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Oklahoma since 1982. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Travis D. Stice
Vice President - Midland

Travis Stice began his career with Mobil Oil in 1985 as a field-based operations engineer. In 1990, he joined Burlington Resources and held various operational, technical and strategic roles within the company. At Burlington, he held a series of positions of increasing responsibility, including Regional Engineer, Corporate Operations in Houston, and most recently as General Manager, Mid-Continent Division located in Midland, Texas. Following the acquisition of Burlington by ConocoPhillips in 2006, he remained with ConocoPhillips until joining Laredo Petroleum as Vice President – Midland in August of 2008. Travis has extensive experience in production operations, reservoir engineering, production engineering, and unconventional oil and gas exploitation.
Travis Stice graduated from Texas A&M University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering. Stice is a registered engineer in the State of Texas, and is a 25 year member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Michael C. Evans
Exploration Manager

Evans began his career with KWB Oil Properties Management as a Geotech in 1980 and after three years time, Mr. Evans was promoted to Jr. Geologist. While at KWB, Evans divided his time between the Central Oklahoma Platform and the Illinois Basin. In 1984, Evans worked at Home-Stake Royalty Corporation, where he spent six years as Staff Geologist and nine years as Chief Geologist. During his years at Home-Stake, Evans was responsible for evaluating minerals and well proposals in over a dozen basins including Anadarko, Arkoma, Illinois, Michigan, Ouachita, Black Warrior, Denver, Ardmore, Permian, Forest City, Williston, Powder River and Appalachia. Evans also generated exploration prospects where he was responsible for creating, packaging, marketing and having onsite supervision of his own concepts. Evans was recruited and hired by Helmerich & Payne in 1999 where he spent four years as their Sr. Exploration Geologist, primarily in the Arkoma & Ouachita Basins.
Evans joined the staff of Latigo Petroleum, Inc. as the Senior Geologist in January of 2003 and was promoted to Exploration Manager in May of 2004. During his time with Latigo Petroleum, Mr. Evans was engaged in several highly successful ventures, including Mississippian oil and gas production at Courson Ranch and Granite Wash production on Turkey Track and Ranches South Programs. Currently, Mr. Evans is the Exploration Manager with Laredo Petroleum, Inc.
Evans graduated from University of Tulsa - College of Engineering in 1983 with a Bachelor Degree in Geology. He has served as Secretary for the Petroleum Club of Tulsa for six years and also belongs to the organizations AAPG, TGS, SPWLA & OWLL.

Mark W. King
Land Manager

King began his career working for independent land brokers as a field Landman in 1981. In 1985, he created Frontier Energy Leasing Service, Inc., a full service land brokerage company based in Oklahoma City. King served as President and Chief Financial Officer overseeing the entire operation and provided service to clients in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Texas and Colorado. In 1994, King co-founded Frontier Land Company, Inc. and expanded its operations with multiple satellite offices throughout Oklahoma and Texas; primarily located in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Cheyenne, McAlester, Tyler and Pecos. In 1999, King moved Frontier Land Company's headquarters from Oklahoma City to Tulsa and renamed the company Frontier Land Corp. He continued operating three satellite offices in McAlester, Oklahoma City and Pecos. King sold Frontier and joined Orion Exploration, LLC in 2004. Serving as a partner with Orion Exploration, King held the position of Managing Member/Vice-President of Land and was responsible for contract negotiations and preparation. King also supervised all lease acquisitions, OCC proceedings, lease records, division order and accounting functions. King joined Laredo Petroleum, Inc. as Land Manager in April 2008.
King earned the Certified Petroleum Landman designation in 1995 and is a current member of AAPL, OCAPL, FSAPL and TAPL. King is the past President and current committee co-chair for the Tulsa Association of Petroleum Landmen.

William (Bill) F. Chatham
Business Development Manager – Permian Basin

Mr. Chatham’s extensive career in the oil patch began working as Executive Director for the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe in Towac, CO. He served as an advocate for the Tribal government participating in the development of national energy strategies for Indian Tribes. He brought these strategies before Congress which changed the direction of the government in the way they handled leasing to and giving more control to the Tribes in development of their own natural resources.
Mr. Chatham went to work for Liberty Oil & Gas Corporation in the early 80’s as their Landman/Office Manager and was responsible for the execution and development of all the exploration projects in the Rocky Mountain area. He later became the Executive Administrator/VP of Operations for Chuska Energy Company in Farmington, NM and Houston, TX. He was in charge of their nationwide land operations and administration primarily focused in the areas of the Rocky Mountains, New Mexico and Kansas.
In 1986, Mr. Chatham became his own Independent Landman and contracted through various companies performing both in-house and field land work. He did this for eight years before landing the Sr. Staff and Senior Landman positions at Burlington Resources Oil and Gas Company. In June of 2000, he then moved to the position of Senior Landman at Chesapeake Energy Inc., primarily responsible for overseeing the development of the exploration projects taking place in New Mexico and Texas and finding opportunities outside their existing core areas. For a short time, Mr. Chatham worked on the Chevron-Texaco transition team, again as an Independent Landman, before starting with Latigo Petroleum, Inc. as the Sr. Staff Landman. There he helped build the Midland district from an $80 million asset into a $500 million asset in a span of only two years. Latigo Petroleum was sold to Pogo Producing Company in May of 2006, so he then joined Staghorn Energy, LLC for two years as Midland District Manager, working his exploration efforts in the Permian Basin in West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico. In January of 2008, Mr. Chatham joined Laredo Petroleum, Inc. and now currently serves as the Business Development Manager - Permian Basin in the Midland Office.
Mr. Chatham was an Officer in the United States Air Force for 12 years as a decorated Viet Nam War Veteran with multiple combat missions, including being an Electronic Warfare Instructor (B-52) and Assistant Chief of Defensive Systems HQ 8th Air Force. He is a Certified Professional Landman and is a member of the AAPL and PBLA professional organizations. Mr. Chatham obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS and attended graduate school at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX.

Mark H. Elliott
Exploration Manager – Permian Basin

Mr. Elliott began his career as a Drilling Fluids Engineer with IMCO Services in Hobbs, New Mexico in the late seventies. He was responsible for the daily maintenance of the various drilling fluids systems. Mr. Elliott was promoted soon after to Division Technical Advisor in Midland, TX and designed the drilling fluid programs in all areas of the Permian Basin in West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico. In 1981, Mr. Elliott obtained his first Geologist position as a Staff Geologist for Sabine Corporation in Midland, Texas. In 1986, Mr. Elliott went to work for Durham, Inc., where he spent 10 years as the sole Geologist for the company.
Mr. Elliott joined Southwest Royalties, Inc. in 1996 as a Senior Geologist where he was responsible for evaluating company minerals, generating exploratory and development prospects and wellsite supervision. Elliott was then promoted to Exploration/Exploitation Manager in 1999 and served in this role for the next five years.
It was in 2004 when he joined Latigo Petroleum, Inc. in the Midland Office working as Senior Geologist. After Latigo was sold to Pogo Producing Company in 2006, Elliott went to work for Cimarex Energy Company as Senior Geologist. He later joined Rex Energy Operating Company and served as VP – Geology & Exploration of the Southwest Region, managing all aspects of the geology department. Elliott then joined Laredo Petroleum, Inc. in May of 2008 and is currently working in their Midland office as Exploration Manager – Permian Basin.
Mr. Elliott is a Certified Petroleum Geologist and a Licensed Professional Geoscientist with the State of Texas. He is also a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, a member of the West Texas Geological Society and the Division of Professional Affairs. He graduated with honors from Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Geology.
