Jason PigottPresident & Chief Executive Officer
Jason Pigott joined Laredo in June 2019 and currently serves as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director. Mr. Pigott has more than 20 years of experience in the energy exploration and production industry, most recently serving as Executive Vice President - Operations and Technical Services for Chesapeake Energy where he led all drilling and completions operations, digital operations, supply chain and land efforts. Prior to joining Chesapeake in 2013, he was with Anadarko Petroleum for 14 years, serving in positions of increasing responsibility, focused primarily on onshore unconventional play development in the Eagle Ford Shale, Haynesville Shale, Delaware Basin and various tight-sand plays in East Texas. Mr. Pigott holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler School of Business.
T. Karen ChandlerSenior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
T. Karen Chandler joined Laredo in December 2012 as Director – Operations, Technology & Planning, and was promoted to Vice President – Operations in October 2016, before assuming the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in October 2018. Prior to joining Laredo, Dr. Chandler spent 15 years at ExxonMobil, working in a variety of management and technical roles in the areas of drilling, completions and technology development. These roles included operations experience in the Colorado Piceance Basin, Australia Bass Strait and Papua New Guinea. Dr. Chandler holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, and a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Mark D. DennySenior Vice President - General Counsel & Secretary
Mark D. Denny joined Laredo in February 2013 and was promoted to Senior Vice President - General Counsel & Secretary in April of 2019, most recently serving as Vice President & General Counsel since 2018. Prior to joining Laredo, Mr. Denny worked in-house at SEH Offshore, Inc. and Seahawk Drilling, Inc. Prior to that, Mr. Denny worked at the international law firms Vinson & Elkins and Fried Frank. Mr. Denny graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science and the Georgetown University Law Center where he received his Juris Doctorate degree.
Bryan LemmermanSenior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Bryan Lemmerman joined Laredo in June 2020 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Lemmerman has more than 15 years of experience in the energy exploration and production industry, including an extensive background in strategic planning and business development. He previously spent 10 years with Chesapeake Energy Corporation, serving in financial roles with increasing responsibility, most recently as Vice President – Business Development and Treasurer. Prior to joining Chesapeake, Mr. Lemmerman was a portfolio manager at Highview Capital Management and Ritchie Capital Management, overseeing investments in public and private energy companies. He began his career as a tax consultant with Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Lemmerman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Master of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas.
Brandon BrownVice President and Chief Information Officer
Brandon Brown joined Laredo in August 2019 as Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Mr. Brown has more than 25 years of experience in Fortune 500 companies, setting technical visions and strategies. Mr. Brown most recently served as Director of Intelligent Operations for Chesapeake Energy where he held roles of increasing responsibility in areas of infrastructure, operations, data management/governance, data science, and digital transformation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Technology from Oklahoma’s Northeastern State University.
Roxy L. ErwinVice President – Production & Supply Chain Management
Roxy L. Erwin joined Laredo in April 2012 as the first Permian Production Engineer for Laredo. She was promoted to Production Engineering Manager in April 2014 and Director – Production in May 2016, before assuming the role of Vice President – Production & Supply Chain Management in October 2018. Prior to joining Laredo, Ms. Erwin worked in various basins across Oklahoma and Texas in operations, production engineering, reservoir engineering and leadership roles for Newfield Exploration, Coho Resources and Mobil. Ms. Erwin currently serves on the Industry Advisory Board for the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy at the University of Oklahoma. Ms. Erwin holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
David S. FerrisVice President and Chief Sustainability Officer
Dr. David S. Ferris joined Laredo in February 2021 and currently serves as Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer. Dr. Ferris has more than 20 years of experience in the upstream oil and natural gas industry, most recently as Executive Director of the Ronnie K. Irani Center for Energy Solutions at the University of Oklahoma (OU). Prior to OU, he held leadership, strategy and technical roles for Devon Energy, Anadarko Petroleum and Crawley Petroleum. He attended OU and earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Natural Gas Engineering and Management. Dr. Ferris also earned a Doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California. He serves as a Director for the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board, The Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma and the industry advisory board for the Mewbourne School of Petroleum and Geological Engineering at OU.
Daniel H. Gray, Jr.Vice President – Completions
Daniel H. Gray, Jr. joined Laredo in October 2010 as a Senior Completions Engineer. He was promoted to Completions Manager in October 2012 and Director – Completions in May 2016, before assuming the role of Vice President – Completions in October 2018. Mr. Gray has 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has designed and managed completions in basins across the U.S. Prior to joining Laredo, Mr. Gray spent 5 years working for ConocoPhillips and Burlington Resources focused on completions in the Barnett Shale and Anadarko Basin and 17 years in various engineering capacities with BJ Services supporting drilling and completions projects throughout the U.S. Mr. Gray holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University.
Ronald L. HagoodVice President - Investor Relations
Ronald L. Hagood was named Vice President – Investor Relations in November 2017. He joined Laredo in July 2013 as Director – Investor Relations. Prior to joining Laredo, Mr. Hagood was an institutional salesman with Scarsdale Equities, focusing on oil and gas exploration and production companies. Additionally, Mr. Hagood worked as an institutional salesman with Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley and Southwest Securities. Mr. Hagood graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and earned a Masters of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
Kim HardingVice President - Human Resources
Kim Hardingjoined Laredo in August 2019 as Vice President Human Resources. Ms. Harding has more than 20 years of experience leading HR teams. Prior to joining Laredo, Ms. Harding served as Vice President – Human Resources & Administration for Midstates Petroleum Company, where she was a member of the executive leadership team that led the merger with Amplify Energy Corp. Preceding this role, Kim served as General Manager, Human Resources for Samson Resources for four years where she oversaw all human resources and organizational development functions. Kim joined Samson Investment Company in 2009 where she served as Manager of Employee Relations & Recruiting through Samson’s acquisition by private equity investors in late 2011. Prior to those positions, Ms. Harding led the human resources teams for Southwest United Industries Inc., and KOPCO Inc. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from Fort Hays State University and her Master of Human Relations and Organization Development from the University of Oklahoma.
Benjamin C. KleinVice President—Midstream & Marketing
Benjamin C. Klein was named Vice President—Midstream & Marketing in September 2017. He joined Laredo in April 2013 and has been responsible for the negotiation and execution of oil and natural gas marketing contracts and the build-out of infrastructure assets held by Laredo Midstream Services. Prior to joining Laredo, Mr. Klein spent seven years at Samson Resources Company the majority of which were spent in product marketing roles of increasing responsibility and complexity. Mr. Klein holds a Bachelors in Business Administration in both Accounting and Finance from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters of Business Administration from Oklahoma State University.
Todd MontgomeryVice President - Business Development and Planning
Todd Montgomery joined Laredo in September 2019 as Vice President of Planning and Business Development. Mr. Montgomery has over 30-years of experience in onshore and offshore operations, mergers and acquisitions working for two large independent oil and gas companies. Todd received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. He currently serves on the petroleum engineering advisory board for the Texas A&M University and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Randy L. ThomasVice President – Drilling & Corporate EH&S
Randy L. Thomas joined Laredo in December 2012 as Drilling Manager. He was promoted to Director – Drilling in May 2016, before assuming the role of Vice President – Drilling and Corporate EH&S in October 2018. Mr. Thomas has over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry which includes a variety of operational, technical and management roles at ARCO, Phillips and ConocoPhillips. These roles include both offshore and onshore experience in California, Alaska, West Texas, Oklahoma, GOM, Indonesia and China, primarily related to drilling and completions. Mr. Thomas has supported the American Association of Drilling Engineers since the mid-1980's, serving on local Chapter Boards and the National Board. Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming.
