Jason PigottPresident & Chief Executive Officer
Jason Pigott joined Laredo in June 2019 and currently serves as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director. Mr. Pigott has more than 20 years of experience in the energy exploration and production industry, most recently serving as Executive Vice President - Operations and Technical Services for Chesapeake Energy where he led all drilling and completions operations, digital operations, supply chain and land efforts. Prior to joining Chesapeake in 2013, he was with Anadarko Petroleum for 14 years, serving in positions of increasing responsibility, focused primarily on onshore unconventional play development in the Eagle Ford Shale, Haynesville Shale, Delaware Basin and various tight-sand plays in East Texas. Mr. Pigott holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler School of Business.
Mark D. DennySenior Vice President - General Counsel & Secretary
Mark D. Denny joined Laredo in February 2013 and was promoted to Senior Vice President - General Counsel & Secretary in April of 2019, most recently serving as Vice President & General Counsel since 2018. Prior to joining Laredo, Mr. Denny worked in-house at SEH Offshore, Inc. and Seahawk Drilling, Inc. Prior to that, Mr. Denny worked at the international law firms Vinson & Elkins and Fried Frank. Mr. Denny graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Political Science and the Georgetown University Law Center where he received his Juris Doctorate degree.
Bryan LemmermanSenior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Bryan Lemmerman joined Laredo in June 2020 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Lemmerman has more than 15 years of experience in the energy exploration and production industry, including an extensive background in strategic planning and business development. He previously spent 10 years with Chesapeake Energy Corporation, serving in financial roles with increasing responsibility, most recently as Vice President – Business Development and Treasurer. Prior to joining Chesapeake, Mr. Lemmerman was a portfolio manager at Highview Capital Management and Ritchie Capital Management, overseeing investments in public and private energy companies. He began his career as a tax consultant with Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Lemmerman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Master of Science in Accounting from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas.
Brandon BrownVice President and Chief Technology Officer
Brandon Brown was named Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Laredo Petroleum in August, 2019. He is responsible for Laredo's technology strategy, IT Infrastructure, Digital Transformation, and Information Security, and he partners with other business areas to advance Laredo's digital capabilities. Brandon is passionate about fostering a culture of innovation to connect people, processes, and data to securely run the enterprise and operate at peak performance. He has over 25 years of IT experience in the energy and telecom sectors. Prior to joining Laredo, Brandon served in various IT leadership roles with Chesapeake Energy, Williams and Level 3 Communications. Brandon earned a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma's Northeastern State University.
Kyle ColdironVice President—Subsurface & Business Development
Kyle Coldiron joined Laredo in November 2020 and currently serves as Vice President—Subsurface & Business Development where he leads the Planning, Reservoir Engineering, Geoscience, and Business Development functions. Mr. Coldiron has 15 years of experience in the upstream oil and natural gas industry, most recently as Manager – Finance & Strategic Planning for Chesapeake Energy. While at Chesapeake Energy, Mr. Coldiron worked unconventional assets in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana while serving in positions of increasing responsibility within engineering, finance, and corporate planning. Mr. Coldiron attended the University of Oklahoma and earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Business Administration.
David S. FerrisVice President and Chief Sustainability Officer
Dr. David S. Ferris joined Laredo in February 2021 and currently serves as Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer. Dr. Ferris has more than 20 years of experience in the upstream oil and natural gas industry, most recently as Executive Director of the Ronnie K. Irani Center for Energy Solutions at the University of Oklahoma (OU). Prior to OU, he held leadership, strategy and technical roles for Devon Energy, Anadarko Petroleum and Crawley Petroleum. He attended OU and earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Natural Gas Engineering and Management. Dr. Ferris also earned a Doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California. He serves as a Director for the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board, The Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma and the industry advisory board for the Mewbourne School of Petroleum and Geological Engineering at OU.
Ronald HagoodVice President - Investor Relations
Ronald Hagood was named Vice President – Investor Relations in November 2017. He joined Laredo in July 2013 as Director – Investor Relations. Prior to joining Laredo, Mr. Hagood was an institutional salesman with Scarsdale Equities, focusing on oil and gas exploration and production companies. Additionally, Mr. Hagood worked as an institutional salesman with Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley and Southwest Securities. Mr. Hagood graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and earned a Masters of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
Kim HardingVice President - Human Resources
Kim Harding joined Laredo in August 2019 as Vice President Human Resources. Ms. Harding has more than 20 years of experience leading HR teams. Prior to joining Laredo, Ms. Harding served as Vice President – Human Resources & Administration for Midstates Petroleum Company, where she was a member of the executive leadership team that led the merger with Amplify Energy Corp. Preceding this role, Kim served as General Manager, Human Resources for Samson Resources for four years where she oversaw all human resources and organizational development functions. Kim joined Samson Investment Company in 2009 where she served as Manager of Employee Relations & Recruiting through Samson’s acquisition by private equity investors in late 2011. Prior to those positions, Ms. Harding led the human resources teams for Southwest United Industries Inc., and KOPCO Inc. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from Fort Hays State University and her Master of Human Relations and Organization Development from the University of Oklahoma.
Katie HillVice President – Operations
Katie Hill joined Laredo in September 2022 and currently serves as Vice President—Operations, leading the Production, Drilling, Completions, and Corporate Environmental Health and Safety organizations. Ms. Hill has more than 13 years of experience in the energy exploration and production industry, with an extensive background in production operations, engineering and planning. She joins us from Javelin Energy Partners where she was SVP – Operations and was responsible for all production operations across three basins - including base production, facilities, construction, midstream planning, development flowback and workover programs. Prior to Javelin Energy Partners, Ms. Hill served in various management roles at Chesapeake Energy including Production Manager, Financial & Operations Planning Manager and Production Engineering Supervisor. She began her career at BP in several technical roles. Ms. Hill is a graduate of the University of Michigan’s College of Engineering with a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Benjamin C. KleinVice President—Midstream & Marketing
Benjamin C. Klein was named Vice President—Midstream & Marketing in September 2017. He joined Laredo in April 2013 and has been responsible for the negotiation and execution of oil and natural gas marketing contracts and the build-out of infrastructure assets held by Laredo Midstream Services. Prior to joining Laredo, Mr. Klein spent seven years at Samson Resources Company the majority of which were spent in product marketing roles of increasing responsibility and complexity. Mr. Klein holds a Bachelors in Business Administration in both Accounting and Finance from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters of Business Administration from Oklahoma State University.
Daniel TempleVice President – Land
Daniel Temple was named Vice President – Land in July 2021. He joined Laredo in December of 2010 as a Landman and has served in various roles in the Land organization, helping build and maintain Laredo’s Land position along the way. Prior to joining Laredo, Mr. Temple spent 3 years at ConocoPhillips working as a Landman in various US Onshore basins across Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Wyoming. Mr. Temple holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Commerce from Texas Tech University.
Randy L. ThomasVice President – Drilling & Corporate EH&S
Randy L. Thomas joined Laredo in December 2012 as Drilling Manager. He was promoted to Director – Drilling in May 2016, before assuming the role of Vice President – Drilling and Corporate EH&S in October 2018. Mr. Thomas has over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry which includes a variety of operational, technical and management roles at ARCO, Phillips and ConocoPhillips. These roles include both offshore and onshore experience in California, Alaska, West Texas, Oklahoma, GOM, Indonesia and China, primarily related to drilling and completions. Mr. Thomas has supported the American Association of Drilling Engineers since the mid-1980's, serving on local Chapter Boards and the National Board. Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming.
